Who this session is for

This is for an employed specialist, researcher, regulated professional, or experienced applicant who expects to move to Germany within roughly six months. It is especially useful when several tasks appear urgent at once: a residence appointment, a temporary address, health insurance, a spouse’s move, or the first working day.

The consultation is also suitable if you are comparing a likely move to Berlin with another German city. It is not designed for asylum matters, citizenship applications, business formation, tax structuring, or litigation.

The result

You receive a personal sequence for the period before departure, arrival week, and the first three months. It distinguishes between tasks that can be completed abroad, tasks that require a German address, and questions that must be confirmed with an authority or regulated adviser.

Within two working days, we send a written recap containing your priority steps, a tailored document checklist, official reference links, and the unresolved questions you should carry into appointments.

What is included

  • A short intake review before the call.
  • A 75-minute private consultation with relocation adviser Mara Vogel.
  • Discussion of the residence route indicated by your employment situation, without legal representation.
  • Planning for accommodation evidence, Anmeldung, statutory or private health insurance questions, banking, tax identification, and initial household administration.
  • Practical preparation for a spouse or child when their move is connected to yours.
  • One clarification email within seven days of receiving your recap.

What is outside the scope

We do not complete authority forms on your behalf, certify translations, search for apartments, negotiate an employment contract, or guarantee an appointment or permit. We do not advise on tax liability or provide a legal assessment of unusual immigration facts. If the session exposes one of those needs, we identify the appropriate type of professional or official office.

How it works

1. Send the outline

Use the contact form to describe your nationality, profession, expected city, whether you have signed an employment contract, and who is moving with you. Do not send passport scans or sensitive identification numbers.

2. Confirm scope and time

We reply within two working days. If your questions fit the service, we offer available times and a secure intake questionnaire. Sessions can take place by video or at our Torstraße office in Berlin.

3. Prepare only what matters

Bring your anticipated start date, broad salary range where relevant to a residence category, housing status, current insurance situation, and a list of deadlines already given to you. Copies are rarely needed during the call.

4. Meet and map the sequence

The conversation follows dependencies rather than a rigid presentation. We mark what is known, what is city-specific, and what still needs authoritative confirmation.

5. Use the written plan

Your recap is intended as a working document. Official requirements can change, so each link should be checked again near the date of action.

Constraints worth knowing

Appointments, processing times, acceptable housing documents, and local procedures differ among German municipalities. Advice reflects information available on the consultation date. A session makes preparation clearer; it cannot accelerate an authority or replace its decision.

Fee and next step

The fixed fee is €195 including VAT. Payment is requested only after we confirm that the consultation fits your situation and agree a time. Tell us where your move currently stands, and we will respond within two working days.
